Elizabeth McCraven, DO

Chief Medical Officer, Medical, Meridian Site

Dr. McCraven has been an integral part of IHC since 2014 and is board certified in Family Medicine. She began her journey with IHC as a Locum Tenens provider, stepping in for a colleague on maternity leave. This opportunity allowed her to secure a position at a clinic she greatly admired. Within just three months, she was promoted to Associate Medical Director, and by 2017, she was appointed as the Medical Director of the Meridian site.

In 2023, Dr. McCraven embraced the role of Chief Medical Officer (CMO), where she now oversees the clinical operations across all Medical Department sites. Her leadership is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality medical services.

Dr. McCraven’s decision to become a Family Physician at the age of 40 has been continuously reaffirmed through her work at IHC. She thrives on collaborating with her colleagues, solving complex issues for members, and spearheading initiatives that enhance medical services. A graduate of the Delta Clinical Leadership program, Dr. McCraven has developed a leadership style that emphasizes trust and community among clinical teams, partners, patients, and the wider community. Additionally, she completed a Pain Management fellowship at UC Davis, which has enriched her expertise in providing exceptional care to patients experiencing pain.

Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. McCraven enjoys practicing yoga, cooking, and reading.
